What are we working on?We build modern websites and apps
At HipSquare, we build web applications and mobile apps. We work with JavaScript/TypeScript and do all sorts of great things with it:
- We build fast, easy-to-use frontends in React and Angular.
- We develop scalable backends with Express, Koa and Nest.
- We implement large, fast-loading websites with headless content management systems such as Payload, Strapi and Contentful and with page generators such as Next.js and Gatsby.
- We build mobile apps from reusable components, using both web and native technology.

- We build software professionally: We work in test-driven development, with modern CI tools and in small steps.

We work for a wide range of different clients. Our smallest company is a one-man company, our largest is a multinational financial provider. What can you expect from working with us?Work from where you want, with what you want
Work from where you want: Come to the office if you feel like it, work from home if you can concentrate better there.
Choose your own hardware and software freely: You decide what you want to work with. Your laptop, your operating system, your IDEs. We also offer a "Bring Your Own Device" option, where we contribute to your personal laptop if you prefer to work with it.
We also have regular team events: come with us to go karting, play laser tag, break out of escape rooms.
Our job offer
We are looking for experienced, pragmatic and professional TypeScript developers
- Experience as a professional software developer
- More than five years of experience as a developer with TypeScript and a large front-end framework.
- Technical Skills
- Excellent JavaScript and TypeScript skills, more than three years of experience with a large frontend framework such as React or Angular.
- Very good knowledge of NodeJS, ideally with a framework like Koa, Express, NestJS.
- Experience with static page generators such as Gatsby, Remix, Next.js.
- Experience with and excitement for automated testing.
- Other skills
- Ability to independently break down complex problems into their individual parts and find solutions.
- Fun to work in a team, to teach others and to learn from them. We have a strong feedback culture, so you will often be asked for your opinion and get a lot of feedback so that we can grow together.
- Many years of experience in software development as a team with agile methods, e.g. Scrum.
- Experience with Git-based development and writing and reviewing PRs with the help of GitHub and/or GitLab or similar.
- Excellent self-organization, e.g. in the processing, structuring and prioritization of tasks.
- Very good communication skills, you can present yourself and your topics. You can also convey complex issues and find solutions to complex problems with others.
- You are fluent German and English.
